The urban Environment

recently i've been trying to look at the docks in a more conceptual light, just so i'm leaving no stone unturned as to where i can go with my project. i've tried looking at the textures of some of the items at the docks and converting them into actual objects which we see in the urban environment. i'm definately getting more in depth into this project the further i get down the line towards the overall deadline.

i'm still working away with limerick docks, although i feel i've stretched my references as far as i can, so ill have to take another walk around the docks and get my hands on some more photos. i'm beginning to explore the items i found more now rather than just landscape views of the area itself. viewing them from the point of texture and colour mostly, and using the drawings of these items that i am doing as perspective exercises. my computer is being repaired at present so i am unable to post any photos up, but i should have it back sometime this weekend, so i will then take photos of all my work to date and post them on here.

The Uban Evironment project

For quite a while I was floundering, not really sure where i was going, but now I'm beginning to have a better idea as to the direction my project is going to take place. I've been drawing scenes of the Limerick docks in what I would consider a graphic way of drawing with an ink pen. I'm both trying to explore the area which is the Limerick docks and also develop a different style and apply it to what I draw to show the place in question in a different way.
